From the global leader in night vision, the Photonis Defense Vyper night vision binocular unit is a light weight & rugged device. It is built from a proprietary nylon polymer housing and exceeds MIL-STD-810G and has been drop tested beyond the NATO and TOP drop test standard from 6 feet to concrete in 6 major orientations on a single device. The Vyper is powered by either Photonis Echo or 4G brand image intensifier tubes (custom FOM levels available) and assembled by Photonis Defense in our ISO 9001 certified facility.

I bought these NVG’s a couple months back. I let my son who just got out of the Army and was a 19D Cav scout attached to the 1st ID Fort Riley. He was impressed with the Photonis Vyper BNVG’s. He said they were better quality than the GI issued PVS-31 he was used to. He ended up buying a set of the same unit except he upgraded to the 2200 FOM tubes. We have been training with these units since then and they have performed well. The image is quality. It is like watching a black and white movie. Depth perception is excellent. We move across rocks,scrub,washouts and rarely miss a step. The Image in wooded areas is also good. without IR illumination and on most nights you can see easily past 100 yards. In Urban environments the streetlight and normal light conditions are handled well by the auto gating.
