Many people think the White Phosphor (WP) tubes offer better visibility and resolution in use over normal green NV tubes.

“FOM” is a term for Figure of Merit and is a calculation of Resolution X Signal to noise ratio and is a quick way to ascertain how well a specific tube performs. Tube cosmetics- with real night vision tubes, each and every tube is different. A tube pic and specifications for each unit is listed above when you click on “In stock PVS14s” The data sheet you will receive with your unit will cover the spot spec for your tube, where we see anything that’s not covered on the tube data sheet (pepper speck, lines, bright spots) we note it in the description for that specific unit. That gives you MORE information than you would get from just a tube pic or data sheet.

Onboard Infrared (IR) illuminator is not necessary for us like digital night vision, but is nice to have in conditions where little moon or starlight exists. Unit runs on 1 AA battery for an average of 40 hours usage on 1 AA battery.  Unit can be used hand held, head mounted via a skull crusher, nightcap, etc. or helmet mounted.

All of the PVS14s from JRH Enterprises feature standard military parts, which means good long term logistics 20-30 years in the future, versus a knockoff unit that uses a lot of proprietary parts. Great Product and Service

I ordered the PVS14 WP3 SLH 3rd Gen Autogated Night Vision and it shipped the next day. It came in a soft carry case with manual, battery, head crusher, lens covers, carrying strap, and GI-type J-arm. It was exactly as advertised. It’s been over 15 years since I’ve used night vision in the military, but at least compared to my memory, these are great PVS 14s. I really like the white phosphor over the green. I took them out the night I received them and really liked the performance. I live in a suburb that adjoins a large park system, so I could test it in both urban and wooded areas depending on whether I was in my front yard or back yard. Definitely worth the price.

More than I expected

Having never used a PVS14 my only experience with them was internet photos and videos. This thing is astounding, after more than three years of owning it, it still blows me away every time I use it. Other people who I’ve had look through it have been very impressed as well. It’s no problem to drive a side x side (UTV) with no headlights at 55mph; (though your passenger(s) without night vision will be scared.) That’s how good they are. Excellent for stargazing, navigating in the woods, coyote hunting, etc.

I knew half of what I wanted. I’ve been researching NV and specs for about a year. I’ve been hesitant to make the leap. Robert answered all my questions including the ones I didn’t knew I should ask. Experience speaks for itself, so I asked him to get me setup with a tube that meets my specs and everything from the helmet shroud forward. It took him at his word for everything, and I’m happy I did. I would have made the wrong selections.
He sent me a Norotos LoSto (force to overcome) Mount, Noisefighters (Max14) arm and the PVS-14. I still cant get over how light the setup is, even on my Team Wendy bump. No need for a big counterweight. Balances great with just a 4 battery storage pack on the back. Thanks again.

Exactly What I Wanted and Expected

I by no means have sufficient time behind NVG but after trying a few, I really liked this one. My friend then referred me to JRH (where he got his) and I made my investment. The owner was very polite and patient with me. They made sure I knew exactly what I was buying (as the menus can be confusing) and I am glad they corrected my error. That 5 minutes was well spent because I almost ended up with a version I was not expecting.

It’s been just over a year and I am very happy with what I got. I’ve had some much fun with this from stargazing, weekend LARP, to intended use.

I called for a 2200 FOM and he hand selected a beautiful tube with higher specs: looks perfect to me. I’ve been running green PVS14 with bridged thermal for years. WP was an unexpected fantastic improvement: easier on the eyes, blending with thermal gray scale instead of contrasting against it.

I was nervous spending over $3000 on something I didn’t know much about, and couldn’t hold in hand before purchasing. I have only used older tech monoculars a few times. Night visions always been something I thought I had to spend $4000+ to get just an “ok” unit.

I chatted with him as I was curious on a couple things. After talking with him, I was sold, called back, and we chatted for well over half an hour about the specs I wanted and various info that was great to hear.

2 days later I had one in hand. Stunning clarity. Makes a friends older gen 2 tube seem like a kids toy.

I purchased an SLH w/ a FOM well above the 2200 mark, and a week later got my wife one, as well, and he was able to match the specs nearly perfectly if I decided to bridge them together.

Robert is a fantastic guy, and has a well deserved reputation. Over the years, I’ve called many of the night vision sellers over the last couple years, all seem great, but man, Robert is an absolutely a cut above. He went above and beyond, both in customer service, and product. Not to mention having both in hand 2 days after ordering.

I went through Robert for my PVS-14. It all began with a 30 minute phone call on a Saturday where we discussed my expectations and usage scenarios. Once we both were on the same page he found a unit that was within my parameters and we began working through getting the unit to me. We were expecting a few week lead time but I believe it only took about 2 weeks for the whole transaction to go through. Robert also included a hard case and some other small accessories for free.
The unit has worked flawlessly for the year or so that I’ve had it. Robert has also provided support and emailed me further information when I was looking into purchasing duals. He’s also very active in the night vision forum I frequent where he provides further info to newbie and veteran alike. Overall and great product and great place to get into nightvision. I recommend JRH to everyone I can just because the service is so great.

The unit is fantastic with high FOM. I called and talked to Robert to figure out what I needed. He was super helpful and got me completely squared away. I don’t normally like talking to people on the telephone, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend calling in if you aren’t absolutely sure what you need. JRH has the best service in the industry.

Night time is the right time

I’ve had cheap Russian Gen 1’s in the past, but this PVS14 opens up a whole new world in the dark. Mounted to a helmet or hand held you can’t go wrong, and have spent many a night just looking at the stars or watching the wildlife roam in the backyard. Not being billed till the unit was ready to ship, and the warranty on the unit definitely made me choose JRH Enterprises over the other competitors. Only waited a couple of months for the PVS14 to arrive. Robert’s emails were informative and helpful through the entire process. If someone is interested in buying a PVS14 I would definitely recommend this unit, and is planning to get another unit some day soon.

Owned only lesser models of NV, glad i pulled the trigger. Clarity is superb, WP is easier on the eyes and feels natural. Prefer single tube units as i want redundancy and the ability to swap out a unit for thermal. Robert is great to deal with and he is definately getting my next order!

I just got the PVS 14 and wanted to tell you how impressed I am. I only used it for a bit but it seems to be every bit as good and a little better than the one I paid more for from TNVC. Robert at JRH is a good guy with great customer service and you won’t regret buying from him.

I had been meaning to try a WP PVS-14 for awhile now and see what it’s all about. I had bought a great PVS-14 in GP earlier this year (January/2019) and received a super tube along with great customer service which I understand is how JRH operates. When I saw his holiday sale going on for the WP PVS-14  I couldn’t resist and went ahead and ordered one. Roughly 4 days later I received a notice from Robert at JRH Enterprises that my unit was being shipped. Received the 14 roughly 10 days later and I have to say that I’m very impressed. Actually beyond impressed, resolution seems much clearer than with the green tubes 14’s I have, as well as the tube seems much brighter to me and I found myself turning the gain way down. I also noticed how much better it performed in the really dark spots and shadows.
